Biography
Yating Li is a Ph.D. student of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her academic background covers Chinese history, gender studies, and qualitative/interdisciplinary research methods. She mainly focuses on gender and medicine in modern Chinese history. Her recent project examines the history and social-cultural representations of HPV and its vaccination in contemporary China (the 2000s to the present).
